axway.com 6 Our customers today are using our API solutions to create systemic processes that are policy driven to extract the partner, system and configuration information from existing MFT systems and then publish to new configuration environments without human intervention. Our customers also use API integration to manage the user migration waves from legacy MFT Shared Service systems to their new Digital MFT Shared Service, including automatic service initiation and rollback at the user account level, in order to prevent services disruption at the customer/partner level. Digitally enabling an MFT Shared Service reduces operational costs, speeds time to market for new services, reduces the time, complexity and impact of upgrades, eliminates one-off proprietary customizations and extensions and promotes adoption of the shared service, reducing TCO, minimizing "shadow IT" and enforcing security, compliance and data governance policies. 2. Shared service monetization Consolidation of disjointed MFT services into a Digital MFT Shared Service can increase adoption by multiple business units and partners. However, higher costs for infrastructure, or other resources to support more users, cannot be absorbed in an IT budget without offsetting them somehow. New revenue or cost containment opportunities are possible with a Digital MFT Shared Service. IT can deliver benefits to customers by expanding available use cases beyond traditional batch and B2B exchanges to other digital interactions via mobile apps, web portals and interfaces delivered by IoT-enabled experiences. The Digital MFT Shared Service can be extended to allow a service owner to offer tiered chargeback models for use of the service. Usage service tiers are established allowing users to consume the service in alignment with their business and usage requirements. By allowing consumers to select the right usage level, service adoption will increase, driving down cost per user and helping to eliminate rogue files transfers that create security and compliance risks. The model is consumption-based, and when a consumer reaches their predefined usage threshold, an alert is generated to inform the consumer and the administrator (similar to how cellular providers send messages/emails when enforcing data consumption limits). APIs are leveraged to systemically take action: what happens when the limit is reached/exceeded, purging/disabling account profiles, etc. Leveraging Axway's MFT APIs, you can connect to Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) and ServiceNow IT service management (ITSM). This connectivity streamlines support and internal/ external subscriber management and assists managing chargebacks and service fee forecasting. The connectors can be easily configured to communicate with the organization's designated instances of Salesforce and ServiceNow. Also, to assist with forecasting usage, Axway's MFT solution includes embedded analytics which can connect with Salesforce, ServiceNow and virtually any other systems to monitor traffic in real- time, compare to baselines and thresholds, and predict future consumption.
